Where to find us from June 24 to June 29 from Tahoe to Auburn, CA!
From TrailCon to Western States Endurance Run, we will be all over the mountains this week. Here is where to find us, and don't forget to apply to get our sponsored athlete spot for the 2026 race!
Tuesday, June 24, and Wednesday, June 25: Trail Con is a trailrunning industry conference happening June 24 and 25 in Olympic Village between the Broken Arrow Skyrace and the Western States Endurance Run.
Tuesday, June 24: The Active Joe owner Libby Jones will be out at the panels learning more about the current goings-on of the spot.
Wednesday, June 25: Libby will be on a panel at 3:10 pm on the Broken Arrow stage to discuss "Trail Community Commonalities: Europe/Africa/United States". She's there to help add the US perspective (just one example, of course!). She'll be joined by Moderator Simon Freeman from Like The Wind magazine and fellow panelists Doug Mayer (Run the Alps), Stuart McConnachie (Ultra Trail Cape Town), and Shane Ohly (Ourea Events).
Thursday, June 26: Our 2025 Western States sponsored athlete, Danna Baxley, will be arriving at Olympic Valley, the site of the start line for Western States 100.
Friday, June 27: Danna will be checking in for the race day!
Saturday, June 28: The Western States 100 starts at 5 AM PST. Danna is bib 76, and live tracking at all aid stations is available from start to finish on Ultralive.net.
Sunday, June 29 - Around MIDNIGHT to 1 AM PST: The Active Joe owner Libby Jones will be making an appearance on the Western States Live Stream. As one of the longest running sponsors of Western States, now sponsoring for our 11th year, Libby has watched the race change over the years. She has seen where the sport has been as a race director, and where it is going too! Our Dinosaur Valley Endurance Run race is a qualifier for WS, and you can qualify with our 100K or our 100 miler, so she has the perspective of a Race Director who has a race where many participants hope to eventually get to race Western States.
Sunday, June 29 - 11 am: 30 hour finish line cutoff of Western States 2025.
After Western States: Time for YOU to apply for our 2026 sponsored athlete spot. Most of our athletes we have sponsored are middle of the pack or back-of-the-pack runners. See what we are looking for, and then apply! We so often get people who thought we are looking for elite runners because it's a sponsored spot, but we are about "average joes" getting active, so we give out our spot differently than many of the sponsors out there! We can't wait to read your application!
